Morning begins with Tory Burch. And ahh, she’s left us a little pressie on our seat. A book of love poems. Happy V Day! Tor thinks of everything. Bet she throws a fabalas dinner party. This collection was apparently inspired by a film called “The Philadelphia Story,” starring Katherine Hepburn. A film whose synopsis is, according to IMDB is (sorry, we Googled after the show) – “set among the upper class in 1930s Philadelphia, on the eve of her marriage to an uninteresting man, a headstrong socialite jousts verbally with her charming ex-husband, drinks too much champagne, and flirts outrageously with a handsome reporter.” Consider these, then, clothes to do all those activities in – TB embroidered white coats, almost masculine, same goes for the embroidered ties and cord trousers. Combined with a very Tory femininity – wrap dresses printed with wallpaper florals, pussybow blouses, a major brocade moment. Left feeling bright and breezy. Lovely.
