Topman Teams Up With Matthew Josephs for AAA A16 Collection

Our bosom buddies at Topman tell us that the AW16 AAA collection is all about ‘rebelliousness with a bold aesthetic that pushes boundaries and defies mainstream silhouettes’, and as part of this new movement, four emerging talents feature in a series of films exploring their unique attitudes to style – one of them being young Matthew Josephs. Industry insiders, or outsiders for that matter, may know Matthew for his impressive portfolio of styling, in particular his genius championing of streetwear. Makes sense then, that Master Josephs can be seen in the video above perusing the streets of Dalston – a place of significant inspiration for the Fashion Director. Whether it be the way a school kid ties his trainers or a woman wears her earrings, Matthew is constantly influenced by his East London neighbourhood. Watch him as he goes about his day in the AAA oversized badged denim jacket, black jumpsuit and a red slogan jogging set. Like an episode of your favourite 1987-2008 show Through the Keyhole, but with better fashions and without Lloyd Grossman. Don’t say we don’t treat ya’ll.
