‘This boy is befit of the streets of Kreuzberg during the twilight hours. A sinister, rebellious soul whose look evokes that same period of curiosity and experimentation…’ He’s also inspired by Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe. It’s very uniform. Belted wool coat in grey or black. Double breasted jackets. Worn over shirts printed with Mapplethorpe’s Lily. Collars are raised and belts are studded. Vinyl and ponyskin add shine. It’s rather sinister. Like a cinematic vision of darkness, the future as seen through the eyes of East Germany.
