What if all designers were to communicate their collections through the medium of dance, in some sort of strange designer-led episode of Dance Moms? Prada would most certainly be an artful Pina Bausch-type contemporary number, Dior a graceful Viennese waltz. And what of Tom Ford? Disco of course. How else would one dance in his mega-glam creations? It would be a disservice not to. As demonstrated by this Nick Knight-directed video of his Spring collection, where a gang of aesthetically blessed model boys and girls (including our cover star Lucky Blue) dance and sashay down a catwalk to the dulcet tones of Chic’s I Want Your Love. Sung by Lady Gaga, who also happens to appear in the video. In true Gaga style (or should we say ‘The Countess’, after her turn on last night’s American Horror Story) she strips down, flashes her bum and gets dragged along the dancefloor. Why? Who cares. She was born this way, baby!
