TOM FORD: OPENS LONDON FLAGSHIP STORE
In case you’d temporarily lost your minds in London’s currrent sunshine filled state- (if the outfits in Golden Square yesterday lunch time are anything to go by most of the city has) we’d like to remind you- black cloud of doom style, that we live in a wet cold and often rather grey place. When everything returns to normal we’ll be back to our usual habit of sheltering in luxury stores for most of the day, and are therefore dead excited to hear of Tom Fords new one on Sloane Street. We’re planning to spend most of September there- stepping out in a full look for the occasional show. The aesthetic of this 8,000 square foot shrine to all things Ford seems to fall somewhere between five star hotel suite and spaceship, lending both a personal touch whilst you try just about everything for size- and a sense that you’re flying away from all humdrum realities to enter a world of unashamed glamour. In fact, we’d like to christen it Starship Ford. We shan’t be smashing a bottle of fizz anywhere- as frankly (as total lushes) we’ve always found the process rather wasteful, but will instead be sloshing Tom’s Private Blend fragrance all about our person. The new whiffs been created to celebrate the flagships arrival. Key words jumping out to us from a release kindly provided by Tom’s PR’s- are ’animalic, elegant and urbane’-basically all the things we long to be. Give it here- we need another spritz!
