The American designer is moving his show from the Big Smoke to La-La Land.
“Nooo!” shrieked Natalie from her desk. News has broken of Tom Ford’s departure from the London Fashion Week schedule. Poor Natalie. She loves Tom Ford and his sexy shows. “I have loved LA since I first moved there from New York in the early 1980’s,“ the designer explained. “Richard and I have had a home there for the past 20 years and have always felt a deep-rooted connection to the city.” But the reasons are cultural, not just personal. “So many visuals in our world are filtered through Los Angeles including music, television and film and in this way it influences global fashion in a profound way.” We get it Tom, LA is great. Ice-cream and alcohol. That’s how we’ll be dealing with the news. We feel like Noah in the notebook when Allie tells him she’s moving away.
