There’s something very sinister about people wearing masks, particularly when they are made from translucent perspex. These are a cross between ‘Comedy and Tragedy’ masks and, with the coloured dots on their cheeks, clown make-up, making them even more spooky. But for a man who had models coming out of coffins in his A/W12 collection, spooky is clearly something he’s not adversed too. With the playful use of fabrics and distorted proportions, these boys remind me of futuristic jesters. Only Thom Browne could dream up such a thing.
