What’s your most prized possession?
“I am a notorious hoarder – so I have a big bookshelf where I keep all my most prized possessions. I love things that make me feel connected to fashion today, and I keep objects I’ve received from people I admire. On this shelf sits my first sketchbook gifted to me by my mom, fabrics I received from Jonathan Anderson, the About Time exhibition book sent to me by Anna Wintour, rattle-snake eggs from Kanye West’s Yeezy presentation, and all the books I feel have contributed to my visual literacy.”
What dream item would make your home all that more special?
“It’s not an object but I would love to adopt a pure white Afghan Hound. I have never seen anything chicer in my life – the elegance alone.”
What’s the key to keeping your humble abode a happy one?
“I think one must really adopt the idea of home as sanctuary – I made the mistake, for a very long time, of prioritising work way too much. Many people who came to visit me felt like I lived in a high-school dormitory because of how extremely stark it was. As I started buying things that turned the house into a home, I felt a shift in my mental well-being as well, because my home-life started feeling less like a “waiting room” and more of a place that, whenever I walk in, I feel relief.”
