Just as we thought it was time to say goodbye to slides, here comes a collab that’s putting us back on the sandal track. Japanese brand Suicoke is already known for their utilitarian strappy sandals (not the Alaïa kind) which reinvented the way we look at slides. They went from being a summer-only beach shoe, and became everyday, all-year-round footwear that is equal parts practical, comfy and cool AF. Their signature style is called KAW – every hypebeast and those aspiring to be one (that’s us) have at least one pair in their shoe cabinet. And in true hypebeast style, Suicoke has collaborated with an underground, conceptual brand on a super-limited edition of KAWs that is literally making us drool. Concrete Objects, an ongoing project created by Jobe Burns and A-Cold-Wall’s Samuel Ross, created their own version of the sandal – shaded in multiple hues of gray, toying with textures and textiles, the Concrete Objects x Suicoke KAW sandals are the slides we need on our feet asap. There’s the robust rubber sole, the leather & suede upper, canvas straps and an addition of the signature Concrete Objects resin detail. We’ll take a pair in each size. The only thing is – they’re probably already sold out.
