Grab your flower crown and cue that The Mamas & the Papas album because Valentino Garavani is going on a joyride with its dreamy new Nellcôte bag. A hippie-dippy staple of the house, the Nellcôte, dreamed up by creative director Alessandro Michele, boasts a rebellious soul, and now with its bold textures, whimsical details and free-spirited attitude, it’s sure to make any outing feel like a personal revolution.
Following the introduction of the medium tote for summer, the Nellcôte family expands for fall with smaller, more versatilely sized crossbody and tote silhouettes designed for modern life on the move. Available in lush suede and grained calfskin, each piece is transformed with vibrant jacquards, dimensional floral embroidery, mirror accents and delicate beading and garlands that could’ve been plucked straight out of a vintage caravan. The new “Cherryfic” motif, meanwhile, – a playful nod to the carefree nostalgia of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s – adds a burst of whimsy to the bag’s earthy elegance.
To celebrate this next chapter, a joyous accompanying campaign shot by photographer Julie Greve reads like a love letter to the golden era of festivals. Picture a laid-back tribe of music lovers lounging in the grass, laughter in the air, the Nellcôte casually slung across shoulders like it was born to be there.
Whether you’re dancing in the crowd, wandering sunlit city streets or kicking about at Glasto, the Valentino Garavani Nellcôte is your new go-to for making memories.
