As the weather warms and sun-kissed skies eclipse, there’s no better way to soak up some essential vitamin D (with a capital D) than in the new Dioriviera summer capsule. Dreamed up by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the timeless collection delivers an enchanting escape to lands sculpted in white sand and sea salt.
Embracing the core elements of the house, a romantic tapestry of ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and accessories unfurl in lovely pastel pinks and muted greys. Skirts, dresses, shorts and swimsuits are indicative of Mediterranean elegance and are underscored by marinières and straw hats for a touch of nautical charm. A newfangled toile de Jouy, entitled Toile de Jouy Sauvage, is revealed in a luxuriant version where tigers, monkeys and reptiles dance across silk scarves, iconic bags – such as the Lady Dior, Dior Book Tote and the lining of the new Lady Dior Wicker – and fabulous footwear like the Dway mules and J’Adior slingback pumps.
Bringing it back to the Book Tote, brand new versions in large and medium carryall sizes flourish. A rather demure, pink edition embroidered with Dior’s Toile de Jouy Sauvage and bold “Christian Dior Paris” lettering offers a new take on the House icon. A greyscale version becomes a new classic.
A retreat-ready edit isn’t complete without beach paraphernalia to keep your holibobs happening. So, for your playing pleasure, the maison has designed a luxury yoga mat, a surfboard, a parasol umbrella and even several beach games to keep you amused. There’s tableware, placemats and embroidered cushions on offer too; a toast to the art of living.
