If we had to choose one designer to create our accessories for the rest of time, it would most definitely be Mister John Galliano. The brain that brought us the original Dior saddle bag is now back at it again, bringing yet another piece of covetable baggage into the world. And it’s kind of baggage you want in your life. Originally developed for his AW18 Artisanal show at Maison Margiela, the bag in focus is the NDN. An acronym for Neo-Digital Native, it symbolises the mix of organic and futuristic, rooted in the requirements of the technological age we live in and contrasted by the physical feel of the reality. There’s a multifunctional element to bag – the bag can become a backpack, the leather handle turns into a belt, while the tabled compartment folds out from under a multi-zip flap. Coming in a variety of coloured leathers as well as this classic trench beige canvas, the NDN is practical fashion, just the way we like it.
The Maison Margiela NDN Bag in beige is currently available in Maison Margiela boutiques, and will be launching online on April 5th.
