Deep in the Suffolk countryside there is a quaint little barn, once a local fire station, from which Rob Wyn Yates and Richard Atkinson deal their antique treasures. You might even say they are selling antiques from within an antique. Either way, they go by the name In Da Cottage and Sophia is slightly obsessed. She loves a bit of a trinket. The name itself is a reminder of their humble beginnings in an actual cottage, and on offer are objects as diverse in nature as they are in period, a bit like a museum but everything is for sale. A mahogany roulette wheel, a 1940’s planter and a brass étagère to name but a few things we have on Ten Curates. We’ve never heard of an étagère, nor do we gamble or own a garden, but we’re pretty sure we want the lot. That’s what In Da Cottage will do to you.
