SETH ROGEN SPORTS UGG X THE ELDER STATESMAN

Seth Rogen. Ugg. The Elder Statesman. It’s the perfect combination. Launching just in time for the winter weather, the cozy collab and campaign, fronted by Rogen of course, is a six-piece range of footwear and accessories that effortlessly taps into the Emmy Award-nominated actor’s California-cool energy. Showcasing Rogen’s own talents, the campaign was shot in a custom ‘craft van,’ a hot pink Toyota HiAce, which included a full ceramics studio featuring Rogen’s own ceramic creations. The Abominable “Uggman” is also seen with Rogen in an homage to the cult-classic film Ghost.

Concentrating on a narrative of artisanal West Coast style and laid-back, quiet luxury, the collaboration offers textured and embroidered footwear and accessories in various colours that blend the look and feel of Ugg and TES. It includes the Ugg Classic Ultra Mini silhouette, a waterproof take on the Ugg brand’s best-selling Tasman X clog, as well as two outdoor slides inspired by iconic Ugg slippers, a backpack and a hat. Amalia Aleyeva

FESTIVAL D’HYERES X MERCEDES-BENZ: MEET THE WINNER

At the 38th Festival d’Hyères, Mercedes-Benz awarded its third annual Sustainability Prize to Petra Fagerstrom. The renowned international festival of fashion, photography, and accessories often regarded as one of the oldest fashion competitions, has been supporting young fashion designers around the world since 1986, and selected the Swedish designer based on her use of sustainable learnings gained from the Mercedes-Benz Sustainability Mentorship programme led by longstanding partners Orsola de Castro and Tamsin Blanchard from Estethica with support from the founder and creative director of Nanushka, Sandra Sándor. “The quality of her work is absolutely magnificent. We felt the need and the sense Petra wanted to give to the circularity and choice of materials she used for this look,” the Festival d’Hyères Fashion Jury, headed by Charles de Vilmorin, comments.

Besides providing Fagerstrom with a monetary grant, the award reinforces Mercedes-Benz standpoint regarding responsible and sustainable fashion. This year, fashion finalists were encouraged to upcycle materials from Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and incorporate them within their looks. AA
