THEORY ENLISTS LUCAS OSSENDRIJVER TO CRAFT ITS NEW COLLECTION

Visionary Dutch designer Lucas Ossendrijver’s debut for Theory is a co-ed collection focussed on refined elegance and sartorial solutions for everyday living. Under Theory Project, a space to elevate the brand through collaboration with top talent, the capsule offers classic silhouettes throughout outerwear, smart suiting and relaxed yet poised drapery all coming in cool autumnal tones. Inspired by New York and the hustle and bustle of its city streets, this work/life balance comes into question and as a result, comfort and movement take the reins in regard to the streamlined designs. “In New York, I always feel a sense of purpose,” Ossendrijver writes in the collection notes. “People are always going places, and their attitude and the way they dress reflects this. The styling is a mix that feels accidental and blurs categories. It’s the unexpected element that inspires me.” Shop here

KENDALL JENNER IS THE FACE OF JIMMY CHOO’S AW22 CAMPAIGN

This autumn, Kendall Jenner becomes the face of Jimmy Choo, decked out in hefty white trainers and sleek leather boots coming in chrome, jet black and candy pink. Lensed on location in Los Angeles by Carlijn Jacobs, the stellar supermodel poses under bright blue skies and luscious palm trees at an alabaster villa beside a cool, chlorinated aquamarine pool. The campaign comes as a continuation of Choo’s ‘Time To Dare’ series, embodying the brand’s glamorous and self-assured spirit. Dare to do it all with Jimmy Choo.

FIORUCCI POPS-UP IN EAST LONDON

Alongside the launch of its AW22 collection, Momento, Fiorucci has just driven into its cultural epicentre, London, with two pop-up shops in its back pockets ready to settle down in Shoreditch. One on Redchurch Street and the other on Shoreditch High Street, both eclectic spaces were designed by Farshid Moussavi, a revered Iranian-British architect. In his hands, the first location dedicates itself to the instantly recognisable Fiorucci Angels while the latter takes an exhibition-like approach to retail displaying vital items from the Fiorucci archive, including a pair of jeans hand-painted by Keith Haring, a custom-made jacket for Madonna and an original artwork by Terry Jones. Both stores feel like chimerical dreamscapes carefully crafted and curated to transport you out of the city and into the cotton-candy clouds to hang with Fiorucci favourite cherubs.

WED STUDIO NAVIGATES THE UNKNOWN FOR SS23

London-based Wed Studio, a self-proclaimed “modern atelier” hosted its first-ever live show earlier this week, casting its SS23 offering into the limelight alongside a physical exhibition of multidisciplinary projects. Think sculptures made from deadstock fabrics and surplus, short films and innovative displays. Exploring the idea of phenomena and a fascination with the unexplained in this outcry, luxurious drapery, zero-waste eveningwear and narrative-rich tailoring appear, and while not easily categorised, they sit somewhere between the constraints of haute couture and the freedom of ready-to-wear. BRADLEY COOPER IS A LOUIS VUITTON LAD

Believe it or not, Bradley Cooper is a Louis Vuitton lad now. In a maverick move by the house, the Oscar-nominated actor, writer and director has just been named as the freshest face to champion LV’s iconic Tambour wristwatch as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. Since 2002, the Louis Vuitton Tambour has paved the way for unrestrained creativity and technical innovations within the watchmaking biz. Still sculpted from a single piece of metal anchored by applied horns, the 2022 extremely limited (only 200 pieces) collector’s edition of the wristwatch is just as classic as it is complex. Called the Tambour Twenty, it bolsters the streamlined design that has earned accolades over the years but brings brand new elements to the table. Think a deep, flared 41.5mm case, with a brown sun-ray dial, yellow LV277 high-frequency automatic chronograph hand movement, a 22-carat oscillating weight and an engraved monogram case. Shop here
