Haider Ackermann unveils first collection for Canada Goose

“Everything in nature has something to teach us”, says Ethan Hawke, the actor-turned-activist who takes shape as the face of Haider Ackermann’s first capsule collection for cult outerwear label Canada Goose. Dubbed Snow Goose by Canada Goose, the AW24 capsule sees Ackermann – Canada Goose’s first-ever creative director – instil waterproof parka coats and knitted sweaters into the brand’s wealth of archives, which spans over six decades. Informed by the power of nature and its influence on the individual, Ackermann’s capsule boasts over 60 styles of ready-to-wear menswear and womenswear, as ’90s-style coats become drenched in cobalt blues and reflective silvers.

In a campaign shot by Willy Vandeperre, Hawke showcases the seasonal collection amongst a cast of coat-clad characters, all of which have their own connection to the outside world. Visuals are paired with moving images in a series of vignettes, aiming to delve into the interrelationship between humans and nature. The capsule debuted November 26, with a second and third drop due to release in due course: if you haven’t bought your winter’s coat yet, now’s your time! Freya Goodchild-Bridge

Dior is taking us on a Roman Holiday

Over the years, Maria Grazia Chiuri has become quite the globetrotter with her Dior cruise shows, tapping into the cultural heritage of each destination that she transports the Dior possy to. We’ve seen tartan gowns appear amidst the Scottish Highlands, Greek mythology weaved within the Panathenaic stadium in Athens and a nod to the legacy of Frida Kahlo in Mexico City. Now, Dior is venturing to Chiuri’s hometown, Rome, to present its 2026 cruise show, with the runway set for May 27. As the first Dior show to take the stage in the Italian capital, the announcement comes after Chiuri’s undertaking of the restoration of an ancient theatre in the city – the Teatro dellla Cometa. Exact locations of the show are yet to be confirmed, but we’re sure it will be one-to-watch so keep your eyes peeled. FGB

JW Anderson debuts new Loafer bag

We all know it, and we all love it: the classic penny loafer, a timeless wardrobe staple. But now, thanks to JW Anderson, this humble shoe is getting a stylish update. Enter the Loafer Bag. After being the star accessory at the designer’s last two runway shows, the buzz around its release has been deafening – and it’s finally here, having hit stores earlier this week.

Crafted in Italy, Anderson reimagines the loafer’s signature silhouette, deconstructing and reconstructing it into a chic, functional bag. The design features a distinctive whale-tail penny detail with box stitching, while the bag’s base echoes the shape of the loafer’s sole. Embossed drawstrings, adorned with Anderson’s logo, complete the look.

The Loafer Bag comes in two sizes: the classic and a larger Weekender version, and it’s available in four colourways and two luxurious materials. Choose from black, pecan and off-white calf leather, or opt for a rich chocolate brown suede. Whether bought online or in JW Anderson boutiques, the Loafer Bag offers the perfect way to ‘loaf’ about town in style – matching with your footwear, of course. FGB

Louis Vuitton Proves There’s Space for Two at the Top

A few years ago, tennis superstars Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal stood opposite each other on the court. They were competitors – both approaching top of the league – and there could be only one winner. Now, in the second visual for Louis Vuitton’s Core Values campaign, the pair are united 3000 kilometres into the air atop a snowy mountain. Shot by Annie Leibovitz and featuring LV monogrammed hiking packs, the campaign’s message is clear: Federer and Nadal are no longer competitors, but companions united by ambition, excellence and… yes, style. Who says there’s no room for two at the top? Joshua Beutum
