Ten Craves: Guess’ Bum-tastic Campaign, Natasha Zinko’s Borderless World and more!

Ten Craves is our online series that rounds up all the best product launches and must-know fashion happenings week in, week out.

Bums at Guess, Batman at Lanvin and boxy fashions at Natasha Zinko. Here’s what’s going on in the world of fashion.

Eli Russel Linnetz is collaborating with Guess

Reimagining Guess’ aesthetic, Nicolai Marciano has tapped Eli Russell Linnetz to portray his vision of the brand. The multihyphenate has been tasked by Guess to revamp the image of its denim subsidiary line, Guess USA. With the brand’s new collection set to drop later this year, a teaser for its campaign sees Linnetz take inspiration from one-off pieces from the 1980s and ’90s that were forgotten in the Guess atelier. Wishing to introduce a new era of boundary-pushing sexiness, Guess and Linnetz are defining new generational Americana. Shop the collection later this fall. Andrea Sacal

Aries new collection is for sun-kissed retreats

Aries makes clothes to be lived in, skipping the faff to create good quality clobber that looks rather spectacular, too. For its SS22 collection, the London-based label presents leopard print denim twinsets, louche suiting and paint-splattered trackies, all cut with a boxfresh coolness to elevate your everyday wardrobe. Natasha Zinko looks outside the box for AW22

Inspired by a riotous post-pandemic world, Natasha Zinko’s AW22 collection steps outside of the box (quite literally). Finding home amongst pop culture references such as Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner and Madonna’s sexually charged nineties style, Zinko translates these themes into thick-soled boots, armour-like leather trench coats and midi dresses featuring coned chests à la Gaultier. Marilyn Monroe inspires Vivienne Westwood’s latest bridal collection

The SS22 bespoke bridal collection by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood sees the designer toy with proportion. The collection takes 1950s silhouettes and pairs them with Marilyn Monroe-inspired hourglass shapes, mixing lace, silk moiré and beaded tulle throughout. Always putting the needs of the planet first, Dame Viv is now offering a new service where the brand’s couture team will transform bridal gowns after the wedding so newlyweds can wear their dress over and over again. Lanvin enters the world of superheroes for SS22

Debuted as part of its SS22 collection, Lanvin has teamed up with DC Comics for a capsule collection honouring its infamous dark night. The fashion house has invited Batman and Catwoman through its doors as a way of reimagining the label’s signature pieces. Classic comic book hues of blue and purple envelop the pieces covered in the characters’ illustrative faces. From metal mesh dresses to floor-length leather coats and superhero-shaped bags, the American comic legends are moving from Gotham City to the land of Lanvin. Shop the collection come early March.
