Dior Delivers New Roadie Shoes

Jonathan Anderson’s refurbished Dior toys with tradition indeed. This is seen in the house’s latest footwear fixation – the Roadie shoe. Sported by Anderson himself during his big debut for the refined maison, they are a statement of hybridity, laced in elegance whilst upholding a cool, casual air. Intended to be worn in a slouchy, untied manner, the silhouette of the shoe replicates the contemporary vogue for all things oversized. Meanwhile, a split sole allows the shoe to move swiftly with the foot, carrying its wearer through whatever the day happens to bring.

It flaunts a duo of trustworthy materials – pairing nubuck with a mesh-effect printed suede insert – too, and the hand-stitched seams are highlighted by polished edges in an exhibition of the Ateliers fine craftsmanship. There is much to choose from – amongst brown, gray, dark green or beige shades, sits the engraved Dior logo in all its recognisable glory. Shop here.

Chanel’s J12 Boat Race Comes To A Close In London

Concluding its second year under the Chanel J12 Boat Race banner, London’s River Thames was awash with oars, cutting through a wash of sky and navy blues in the rowers’ uniforms. Taking to the start last Saturday, 4 April, the event marked an almost bicentenary-long tradition between the storied University of Oxford and University of Cambridge. Chanel continues in its role as the historic race’s first-ever timekeeping partner and title sponsor, with the J12 watch as its nautical focal point. Measuring time is, of course, central to precision, but also to the choreography within each crew – every stroke entering the water in unison, a study in synchronicity, discipline and collective will.

Connolly Steps Into Spring

Baked in the sun and left to cool in the salty air, Connolly’s spring/summer 2026 collection – Cap Connolly – derives musings from the South of France and its mantra of sun, sea, repeat. Born from a visual exploration of ’70s photographs set in adjacent French Riviera destinations Cap Ferrat and Villefranche, the collection turns back the clock to a time where glamour felt more relaxed. In the Connolly universe, pieces are grounded in the precision and malleable form of raw textiles. Brand regulars such as the Port jacket, Mariner trouser and Bianca suit appear amongst newer styles. Moiré printed voile, rich cotton sateen, crisp cottons, thread-dyed poplins, silk jacquards, buttery suedes and fine knits feature. Intended to be led swiftly from daytime into night, beach cardigans, loose jeans and button-down shirts evolve around a palette of navy blues, browns and rich pinks and lilacs. The coast is calling, answer here.
