Creative director Jonathan Anderson created the candle in collaboration with artisan perfumer, Nuria Cruelles, and house brand ambassador, Leo Wu, providing a refreshing scent perfect for these sweltering conditions. CHARLES & KEITH CREATE WEARABLE ART WITH COCO CAPITÁN

You may be familiar with Coco Capitán as the artist behind Gucci’s distinctive mural projects that grace the sides of buildings across Milan and New York with candid slogans like,  ‘Common sense is not that common’, and more. Now, the Spanish artist and photographer has partnered with Charles & Keith to bring her intimate scripture into a unique capsule collection of wearable art. The label’s Perline penny loafers and double-handle sculptural tote bag serve as the elegant all-black canvas here, stitched with Capitán’s handwritten prose and flurries of delicate blue daisies. Inspired by the age-old expression ‘He loves me, he loves me not’, the finished product is chock-full of introspective touches. Luckily, we don’t need any fortune-telling flowers to confirm our affection for this collab. Heather Cleal

ONE SCHOOL REIMAGINES THE CLARKS WALLABEE

In partnership with One School – the US-based initiative tackling the absence of Black creatives in advertising – Clarks has taken a New York-inspired twist to its iconic Wallabee kicks. This latest variation comes courtesy of designer and art director Tola Oseni, who pays homage to NYC’s five distinct boroughs through colourful embroidery and unique Clarks Originals fobs. This summer, the Wallabee remains a classic summer staple, elevated through Oseni’s playful update. HC

BALMAIN LAUNCHES ITS DEBUT GENDER-NEUTRAL FINE JEWELLERY LINE

It’s been a busy few weeks for Balmain creative director Oliver Rousteing. Following a stand-out showing as guest designer for Jean Paul Gaultier haute couture, the designer is now launching Balmain’s debut offering of fine jewellery. The 20-piece, gender-neutral collection draws upon classic motifs from Pierre Balmain, together with the modern personality of the Balmain Army. Rousteing cites his decade-old Fabergé collection as his inspiration, originally referencing the embellishments of Carl Fabergé. What remains a constant throughout Balmain Fine Jewellery though, is its commitment to sheer opulence and heritage. Ethical craftsmanship also informs Rousteing’s vision for the house, with pieces made from recycled 18k gold, conflict-free minerals, and traceable gemstones. When it comes to Balmain, all that glitters really is gold. HC

Its wooden sole has been combined with rubber to create a dual material that ensures wearability and comfort. Available in understated hues alongside yellow and fluorescent pink, the clogs are complete with Christian Dior Paris signature motif on the heel. HC

NATASHA ZINKO HOSTS A POP-UP FOR NEW-GEN UKRAINIAN DESIGNERS

Over the weekend, London-based Ukrainian designer Natasha Zinko hosted her first installation in a series of exciting pop-ups created to showcase the talent of young Ukrainian designers. Hosted at her flagship London store, this inaugural pop-up will feature a unique selection of new-generation labels; expect womenswear from Bibliotheque Nationale, upcycled bootleg T-shirt designs courtesy of streetwear label Pieceofshirt, and perfume inspired by Ukrainian nature from Trip:Tych.

Amongst the hustle and bustle of the fashion calendar, it can be easy to distract yourself from the horrific war raging in Eastern Europe. So why not offer support to Ukrainians within the fashion realm, then? 20 per cent of proceeds from Zinko’s efforts will go towards the Kharkiv Regional Perinatal Center, supporting premature children and pregnant women. The remainder of the funds will be split between participating Ukrainian designers in a bid to sustain their brands. HC.

PARTY LIKE YOU’RE AT FIORUCCI 59TH STREET

No one does uninhibited nostalgia quite like Fiorucci. Since its revival in 2017, the cult Italian brand has transported our wardrobes back to the youth-fuelled hedonism of the 1970s and early ’80s, via its neon-lit flagship store in London’s Soho. The brand’s artistic director, Daniel Fletcher, is launching a capsule collection inspired by Fiorucci’s original NYC concept store on 59th Street. Features of the edit include a vibrant array of prints, monogram logos and archive inspired graphics, splashed across Fiorucci’s signature denim, bowling shirts and flared trousers. HC

THOM BROWNE TAKES A TRIP TO SAINT-TROPEZ

Thom Browne is all for challenging our understanding of luxury. His shows take all that is quintessentially preppy and strait-laced, and deconstructs it with a sense of humour and absurdity. Now the designer is infiltrating the plush private members club EPI in Saint Tropez, with the opening of a Thom Browne Tennis Pro Shop. The retail space has been designed in collaboration with architect Flavio Albanese to mimic its flagship Miami store, and will stock the brand’s ready-to-wear, tailoring, and accessories, as well as a selection of limited edition EPI x Thom Browne items. To respect the club’s desire for exclusivity, Thom Browne’s Tennis Pro Shop is available for visits by appointment only. Right, we should brush up on our tennis skills, then. HC
