For all you street styling, timepiece connoisseurs, there’s a new collaboration on the horizon. Watch brand Tag Heuer and street artist Alec Monopoly have joined forces to collaborate on graffiti-clad designs. After their successful first collaboration in 2016 for Miami Contemporary Art Week where Mr Monopoly tagged the Tag store (get it?), the much-talked-about spectacle is finally getting a sequel. A wonderful marriage between contemporary art and classic watchmaking, the signature Formula 1 and Carrera wristwatches are re-interpreted as new contemporary classics. But only for a limited amount of time!
The 41 mm Formula 1 model is sporty with a stainless steel wrist band contrasting the colour blocking cartoon figure. The Carrera is a sleeker design featuring Alec’s and the tag logo sprawled across the face with an H-shaped bracelet. So, in the same vein as Mr Monopoly, be sure to throw dollar bills up and get your hands on these ticking gems.
