Scents of Summer: The Key Fragrances to Take You Through June, July and Beyond

Your summer essentials should go as follows: SPF (obvs), Pimm’s by the jug full and a fresh new fragrance to shadow you wherever you go. That’s right, you ain’t doing summer properly if you’re not dousing yourself in a sweet scent every morning. And you’re in luck! A bunch of our favourite brands have recently launched rather delish perfumes that’ll leave you smelling real lovely through June, July and beyond. Let’s get stuck in.

Omnia: Bulgari by Mary Katrantzou

Our good friend Mary Katrantzou takes her relationship with Bulgari a step further by envisioning an exclusive new fragrance for the house. After working with Bulgari to create the ultimate post-pandemic party bag back in March, Kantranzou has turned to master perfumer Alberto Morillas to concoct a scent that bottles up memories of the designer’s childhood. Described by Katrantzou as a “colourful floral Eau de Parfum”, Omnia’s strong mandarin essence is underscored with woody notes and musk accord. A few sprays in the morning and this fresh scent blossoms through the day. Buy here.

White Magnolia: Etro

Who doesn’t love a bunch of white magnolias in full bloom? The house of Etro pens its latest fragrance as “a hymn to the beauty and wonder of nature,” wherein a stunning bottle, “the brightness of flowers blends with creamy tones of musk and the enveloping warmth of boiseé notes.” The floral musk is crafted from a series of pure, modern ingredients – perfected by master perfumer, Olivier Cresp. Notes of white wood are laced with fresh magnolia to ignite a feel for the Mediterranean. A quick spritz, close your eyes and dream of a warm, sunny paradise. We will get to go on our holibobs one day! Buy here.

Acqua di Parma x Fila

Acqua di Parma knows a thing or two when it comes to crafting the perfect summer scent. This fragrance is so good, in fact, it doesn’t even have a name. Teaming up with Fila, the perfume is packaged as part of the Italian sportswear giant’s 110th-anniversary celebrations. The dynamic, sporty scent captures the vibrancy of open-air Italian landscapes, and is only available in limited quantities – so act fast! Buy here.

On The Beach: Louis Vuitton

A true celebration of the great outdoors, On The Beach by Louis Vuitton takes its cues from the West Coast of California, and its long stretches of golden sand. A heavenly mix of yuzu, neroli and aromatic herbs, the fragrance has been created to ignite a feeling of a long day spent on the beach. Sea salt in your hair, hot sand between your toes and a sweet tiple in your glass – there’s nothing better. Buy here.

Open Sky: Byredo

The latest limited-edition fragrance from Byredo explores “the void between departure and destination.” Titled Open Sky, the brand’s founder, Ben Gorham, and his excellent team of perfumers have created a scent that’s a homage to travel; a distant memory of us all being able to explore the world with our family, friends and loved ones. Made of pomelo, black pepper, and hemp leaves, get ready to transport to the clouds above. Buy here.
