Firstly, we’re here to wish you an amazing 2019 – hope it’s even better than the last one!
It’s a New Year celebration of all things British as streetwear label SCRT collaborates with illustrator Bo Matteini of ready-to-wear and accessories that are bound to grab attention. Since launching in 2010 in London, SCRT has developed into a Brit brand that’s continuously working with collaborators from all around the world, tailoring their classic streetwear codes into fun, unique collectibles. Think hoodies and tees, corduroy workwear, as well as caps and scarves. It’s a simplistic idea of a unisex wardrobe, constantly refreshed by the creativity of quirky creatives.
The latest one is Bo Matteini whose squiggly illustrations are a meeting of abstract and realistic, telling stories and scenarios through visual studies that remind of ritualistic traditions & artefacts. Now, they are gracing a simple white overshirt – a simple move that refreshes the sense of desire. But beyond the wearables, the collaboration recently extended into a more fragrant direction – joining arms with Alex Verier, the founder of Margate-poured candlemakers Blank Factory on a special edition of candles, with canvas sleeves illustrated by Matteini. This is a threeway worth joining.
The SCRT x Bo Matteini collection is available online.
