On the eve before London Fashion Week, we raised a toast to both our global editor-in-chief Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou’s 60th birthday and London’s indelible creativity. And where better to celebrate than at the Bvlgari Hotel, and with the support of Jolie Skin co., the filtered shower head brand changing your daily routine from the very first step.
Our fabulous guests for the night included Edward Enninful, Beth Ditto, Stephen Jones, Ib Kamara, Suzy Menkes, Virginia Bates, Caren Jepkemei, DJ Fat Tony, Daniel Lismore, Roland Mouret and all our extended 10 family.
Throughout the night, guests sipped on Moët & Chandon Brut and had Peachini and Negroni cocktails all while moreish canapès – root vegetable samosas, spicy crab cocktails, fried courgettes, smoked fish tempura and chicken skewers – came courtesy of the Bvlgari Hotel. Delicious treats to keep the energy up and the dancefloor bumping.
The night was soundtracked by a line up of our favourite DJs, starting with Shimmy Ahmed who set the tone for a marvellous night to come. The Flag Twins followed, making sure the crowd were grooving to their infectious, high-energy beats, and Hale Zero kept us all glued to the dancefloor in the early hours of the morning as they played throwback bangers and their own track, Supreme, releasing next Friday.
A massive thank you to the brilliant team at the Bvlgari Hotel, to Jolie Skin co. for supporting our celebration, and to the man himself, Michael Hennegan and his amazing team for making our epic birthday bash-cum-fashion week celebration everything we had dreamed of and more. Onto the next!
