It seems there’s no stopping Sophia Webster and her team. Having just won the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund this year she’s back at it again with her new flagship store – opening today! And on Mount Street no less – only the best for this dynamic shoe queen. Mayfair is becoming everyone’s favourite one stop spot as the store sits in perfect harmony amongst Roksanda, Christopher Kane, Loewe and Nicholas Kirkwood (whom she used to be the apprentice of) to name but a few. But she stays humble with everlasting grace, “It feels good to be in among that line-up – we’re only three years old, so we’re excited to be here,” she smiled. Now we need not remind you how Sophia’s shoes make us feel like we’re walking on cloud 11. There’s something about Sophia’s it must be said that truly brings out the best in fashion, much like our very own Editrix-In-Chief who is never seen without a heel gracing her feet. But there’s more. The store presents her new bag collection seen as a whole for the first time since it became an official category for the brand. Major. The space was designed with interior specialists Studio Suss and Studio XAG to outfit the shop in the Sophia Webster signature pastel colours. One could even go so far as to call it a pastel paradise. “I wanted it to feel intimate, like you’re getting a special experience,” said Webster. Did I mention there’s a winged light installation so that when you look in the mirror you look like an angel? Of course the angel you’ve always known you were. And this angel is on her way to heaven, see you at the Sophia Webster gates…
