There was a flower child meets military moment at Sacai this season, as the strength of army apparel was broken down, freed up, and at times made fly-away by flouncier 70’s elements including florals, and sudden bursts of a more free flowing silhouette. Whilst the brand has begun to grow immensely in popularity in recent seasons, what’s always pleasing about the work of it’s Creative Director Chitose Abe, is how much she’s stuck to her guns (forgive the pun). There’s always an element of the subtly off-kilter, as with the blockish sandals this season which saw to a right mardi stomp down the runway. We’re thinking they’d make getting to our seat a little quicker next season? Watch your toes!
