Before he embarked on a now-infamous diet of carrots and tomatoes in order to afford the latest fashions, this online editor of a weekend supplement used to make his own fashions. Take the time he wanted a pair of denim cut-offs to wear to some festival and so took some scissors to a pair of jeans. One snip too high and he’d cut through the crotch, dashing his cut-off dreams and forcing him to style it out in a denim miniskirt. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, and if anyone should give you a sideways stare, channel butch-lesbian cyclist. That’s what our friend here would do. He’s got the calves for it, after all.
