Good news for those of you currently on the other side of the pond, or, alternatively, even better news for those of you who live there permanently – good pal of 10, Mr Roland Mouret, has opened a brand new store in New York City. A flagship, no less. Hoorah. According to the notes, it takes inspiration from Corbusier and combines “new Brutalism” with “Parisian Chic”. Bit like the two sides of our personalities then. Alongside 1937ft of fashion from the master of the female form, there will also be a selection of sculptures curated by the man himself. Which basically makes shopping a totally cultural experience and thus a perfectly acceptable pursuit to spend all of one’s time doing. Not only that, Mr Mouret will introduce the Tilson jumpsuit in dark red to celebrate the opening. Isn’t he nice? It’s located on Madison Avenue, just don’t the road from it’s old location. Which would usually give us the excuse to quote Madison Avenue’s hit song, Don’t Call Me Baby. But alas, it doesn’t really fit here. So really all that’s left to say is: just go. It’s great.
