It rained, no wait, it poured down and the Rodarte show was in a garden/graveyard with no cover! Let’s just get this out there- no cover. God bless their PR handing out brollies for everyone where we arrived and also people helping to wipe seats down. The garden although wet and rainy weirdly felt right for the Kate and Laura Mulleavy sisters return to New York Fashion Week and when the dresses started to come out… Everything made sense. Their love of the 80s, horror movies, over the top femininity- the florals, the pinks, the baby blues were all there and more! As the models all came out (minus umbrella) and Chet Baker’s I get along without you very well played… Everyone there, wet, realised: Yes, we did get along without you but we are so happy you are back and with full blown drama. Hurrah!
