The Mulleavy sisters behind Rodarte have been knee-deep in filming their first feature film. Their spring/summer 2016 collection had a bit of the theatrical to it too, as their models wandered amongst an electric forest of neon festooned in fishnets. The Little Mermaid meets The Lost Boys? How’s that for a mix, because it’s precisely what the bedraggled, bedazzled layers of sequins, lurex and lace stomping out atop metallic leather Ziggy Stardust-y heels evoked. Sounds like a good movie. Can’t wait to see it in a theatre near me.
