In very sad news that has just broken, American designer and empire-builder Kate Spade has passed away at her Park Avenue apartment aged 55. Kate launched her eponymous label with husband Andy in 1993. The brand was best known for its vividly bright and bold accessories and clothes. In 2007, Kate and her husband left the brand to focus on a new accessories label titled Frances Valentine. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.
