Many people in the fashions often stop me outside a shop or perhaps coming out of a police station and ask to see my Jean Muir impression. It is quite the thing and can be often see at The Kings Arms, Poland Street, Soho, that there London, Friday night, 10.17pm-ish. When doing Miss Muir one must stretch the mouth corners out. Out and wide. Speak and smile with a horizontal smile. Phrases like “waterfall collar” and “crepe de chine” work especially well. See also “stretch jersey” and “mid-calf”.
