Repossi Celebrates Frieze With Jeremy Everett Installation At DSM

Look, a picture of a plant in a cage. Which is not, as you may think, some sort of act of plant-based cruelty, but instead a tres intellectual installation by very talented artist Jeremy Everett. Housed at Dover Street Market, the installation was commissioned by Repossi, makers of fine jewellery that we would like to own very badly, to both celebrate Frieze (have we mentioned it’s on this weekend?) and house their latest collection. “So what does it all mean?” I hear you cry. Well, apparently, it “disrupts of luxury perception, introducing unexpected elements of vegetation and allowing the plants to grow and adapt to the physical constraint of architecture.” Or, as Everett says: “jewellery adapts to the body, simultaneously the body adapts to a piece of jewellery. The plants adapts to the space.” There you go. Please note though, perhaps more importantly, said installation is filled with lots of very nice Repossi jewellery which is ready to be hung nicely upon various bodily appendages. Jewellery that should be purchased immediately. The installation runs until the 5th November.
