Rejina Pyo: Ready-To-Wear AW22

The Supper Club served as the befitting title for Seoul-born designer, Rejina Pyo’s, AW22 presentation. Set in The Aubrey, a plush new Japanese-cuisine-based Knightsbridge restaurant and drinking hub, it was a luxurious and slightly eccentric experience to feed all the senses. Sipping on a Rejina-gin blend while watching a promenade of clingy silk slips and down jackets, we were wined and dined during the classy catwalk.

The clothes were elegant and made for the everyday. Vegan floral jacquard shearling worked its way into a bodycon dress and a button-up shirt while organic cotton denim in mid-tone blue and purple stone-wash formed Canadian tuxedos and standalone baggy trousers. Especially alluring, hand-painted florals were plastered on dresses both puffy and form-fitted for an undeniably chic offering. New to the Pyo family, an RP monogram made its debut on four brand new handbags: cross-body, micro-mini, leather and large – all in warm, vibrant hues.

It was a show about having a good time, be it in a pair of jeans or a tux, and it offered just that to its slightly tipsy, smiling guests caught up in good conversation. Editors, influencers and stylists alike all celebrated the near-end of fashion week over chopsticks and sushi – even Happy Valley actor James Norton made an unexpected appearance. Without a doubt, it was a show for elevated, off-kilter, office-ready looks with the added benefit of hors d’oeuvres to satisfy your appetite. Cheers to that.
