What do a photographer/model, an actress, a ballet dancer, a writer/comedian/actress and an Olympic medalist freeskier and activist, and Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) affiliates all have in common? No this isn’t a “Walked into a bar” joke – they are in fact all the faces of Ralph Lauren’s new Pride collection campaign, created in partnership with the Stonewall Community Foundation.
Jacob Bixenman, Josie Totah, Harper Watters, Patti Harrison, Gus Kenworthy, Evrisha, Tyriq and Cory; all members of the LGBTQIA+ community celebrated for their individuality, are captured wearing the collection against bold coloured backdrops by legendary photographer Cass Bird. The five-piece #RLPride capsule consists of a baseball cap, tote, hoodie, graphic tee and, of course, a Polo shirt. Each item is emblazoned with and iconic Ralph Lauren polo player logo, reimagined oversized and in bold and bright rainbow-hued stripes.
The #RLPride collection continues the brand’s long-standing commitment to supporting the queer causes and community, having previously partnered with initiatives and foundations including Elton John’s AIDS Foundation, AIDS Walk New York, God’s Love We Deliver, Hetrick-Martin Institute and amfAR. An incredible 50% of the purchase price of the Polo shirt, cap, tote and hoodie, and 100% of the purchase price of each graphic tee will be donated to the Stonewall, the LGBTQIA+ organisation that started after the notorious Stonewall riots which are marking their 50th anniversary this June. Just in time for Pride season, we’ve got our uniform at the go.
The Pride capsule collection is available from Ralph Lauren stores globally and online.
