PRADA & MIU MIU ANNOUNCE THE COLLABORATION OF MIUCCIA PRADA ON COSTUMES FOR THE GREAT GATSBY
Bit of a word heavy header here. Forgive us, this is an important announcement. All Prada announcements are important babes! Unveiled- the inner workings of Miuccia’s collaboration with legendary costume designer Catherine Martin on the wardrobe for Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby. When are we actually going to be able to see this film? Can someone tell us? We’ve been drip fed so many incredible aspects over the months, it’s becoming painful. These original sketches just might send us over the edge. A selection of the 40 cocktail and evening dresses, baring the Miu Miu and Prada name in this bold re-imagining of F. Scott Fitzgeralds Great American Novel. Particularly love the orange organza dress (bottom right). A new spin on the fish scale embroidery looks we went mental for at Prada’s A/W 11 show. Can’t wait to hear it shimmy through some extravagant scene of Jazz age debauchery.
