I always look forward to slot on my Milan Fashion Week schedule with such anticipation and excitement – like a little girl on Christmas morning unwrapping the best present ever. Mrs Prada always manages to surprise, she’s never predictable and always delivers an inspiring, unique vision for the season and this was no exception. It was GLORIOUS, magical even, for me. They were, as my very own neoprene princesses. They were dressed in sugar-almond colours peaches, pinks, pale blues which were almost regal. Then came the tailored shapes in neoprene which were for me one of the most exciting ideas of the collection. This idea of sharp suiting in this spongy textured neoprene made me want to touch it, such a clever and inspiring take on the whole nostalgia of the silhouettes made in this modern round-edge fabric. Obviously I’m a super fan! Adored it, every single detail – the skin on the girls with their peaches and creaminess to the brilliant hair and gorgeous jewels pinned at the base of the side bun before it flicked out again. I really got a sense of them reigning like queens-in-waiting over all they surveyed. Can’t wait for the re-see when I can get my hands on every single piece! Magical Miuccia always inspires without fail.
