Prada Linea Rossa first began in the 1990s as a sportswear line dominated by nylon pieces made distinctive by their red stripe – as the name suggests. Vintage bags and bucket hats from collections past are now a favourite amongst Depop-ers as the line made a reemergence in Prada’s AW18 Collection. As much as we like our clothes to look great, we also want them to be forward thinking in their functions and capabilities. Luckily for us, Mrs Prada is a professional multitasker as the Prada Linea Rossa autumn/winter 2020 collection does both.
The AW20 collection sees the use of Extreme-Tex, an innovative multi-layered fabric developed by Prada. Extreme-Tex is the product of the brand’s drive for a more sustainable manufacturing process by using recycled polyester and non-polluting processes. As for the effect the new fabric will have on you, Extreme-Tex can thermoregulate your temperature whilst integrated antibacterial properties keep you safe from any germs. The unisex collection includes hats, trainers and plenty of waterproofs all to keep you warm and dry when the heavens open. Our favourite piece – a step away from the traditional red, black and white colour palette of previous collections – is a bubble gum pink long sleeved top. Its loose fit and elasticated hem makes it both practical and strikingly stylish. We can’t wait to Prada-ify our next rainy walk in this beauty.
The Prada AW20 Linea Rossa Collection is available online and in select stores now.
