The clocks changed over the weekend, which means it’s official, spring has alas sprung. The sun is (actually) shining, pub gardens are chock-a-block and hemlines are inching upwards as we all count down the days til summer… well, a Prada summer that is. Taking over the Ground Floor at Harrods for 30 days across April, the Prada Days of Summer pop-up is here to absolve you of those last inklings of winter blues and turbocharge a sun-kissed season to come.
Rendered almost entirely in white, the space is set within the Exhibition Windows at Door 9 and conceived as a study in light – a continuous, luminous surface that sharpens silhouettes and heightens texture. Walls are punctuated with subtle pastel notes, offset by refined wooden fixtures and natural fibre flooring underfoot, creating a tactile contrast that feels warm rather than clinical. The layout flows intuitively, guiding you through without overt direction – more gallery than shop floor, but with a distinctly Prada sensibility.
Clothing follows suit. In womenswear, cotton, linen and jersey pieces are layered with ease – gathered skirts, lace-insert sundresses and crisp white denim sit alongside khaki utilitarian separates, striking that familiar Prada balance between softness and structure. Stripes and delicate prints add movement without disrupting the overall clarity, while fabrics such as slub linen and crinkled cotton bring subtle depth.
Accessories lean into practicality without sacrificing polish. New bag lines – Route, Carry and Fold – arrive in lightweight combinations of leather and canvas, while familiar styles like the Bonnie and Explore are refreshed in sand, caramel and chalky whites. Footwear keeps things grounded: pared-back sandals, crochet ballet flats and softened boots all prioritise wearability.
Menswear mirrors the same approach – relaxed, layered and quietly detailed. Think lightweight Re-Nylon, soft denim and easy shirting in a neutral palette that feels effortless rather than austere.
