Jolts of Pink Panther neon and old school Hollywood style spotlights guided us through Paris’s famous Palais d’Iéna building and further than ever before into the more conceptual pursuits of Prada, at the brands 24 hours museum. Designed by Francesco Vezzoli with Amo, Rem Koolhaas’ think tank the installation was divided into 3 sections, each inspired a different kind of museum, and each a personal tribute to femininity as seen through his eyes. Historical, Contemporary and Forgotten all uniquely linked to a series of events which took place over the 24 hour period in different areas of the ground floor. The most ominous aspect of the design, a large metal cage containing the works of Vezzoli. Though we’re unable to fully illustrate the complexities of this ‘social laboratory’ we felt the pictures in this post would at least allow you to dip your toe. Enjoy.
