Pianegonda’s new Assoluto collection, by creative director Betony Vernon, marks a redefinition of the brand, known for its timeless yet contemporary Italian silver jewellery. Named after the soul of the cosmos, the collection draws from the origins of the universe.
Vernon’s vision came from the sphere: a shape that symbolises the earth, cosmos, movement, and atoms. Out of this musing on creation and the celebration of life came out-of-this-world designs that emulate atoms in large silver spheres and linked chains. The geometric shapes and unmarred curves of the pieces are born from the brand’s detailed craftsmanship, continued research and signature 925% sterling silver. Such motifs appear across elegant necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets.
Shot by Guillaume Thomas and modelled by former 10 cover star Anna Cleveland, in the collection’s campaign, the pieces appear otherworldly. Reminiscent of Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam”, Cleveland and an unknown subject interlock arms, their wrists both adorned in the collection’s jewels.
Through the individual designs of Betony Vernon, this collection continues Pianegonda’s goal to foster a continuous dialogue between seduction and innovation while empowering the wearer with its beautiful creations.
