Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini: Ready-To-Wear SS19

Lorenzo Serafini is the kind of man girls fall in love with. He’s great company, very cute and is fast forging a reputation as the king of modern boho. Crucially, in these edgy times, he doesn’t shy away from prettiness. At Philosophy, there was plenty of that on display for SS19 with sheer white blouses and camisoles adorned with frothy yolks. Serafini’s clothes might be pretty but they’re not saccharine. There’s a flirtatious sexuality at play. Hemlines were short, silhouettes leggy and fabrics tended towards the delicate and semi sheer – Serafini’s expertly placed frills played a peekaboo game. He also added a swashbuckling early-eighties element with suede safari shorts worn with poets blouses and slouchy boots or frill edged shirts tucked tucked into cigar-legged snakeskin print trousers. Backstage he was mobbed by his models and covered in kisses – a testament to how his clothes make women feel.
