Pharrell is in the building!
After months of speculation over who will replace the late Virgil Abloh at the helm of Louis Vuitton, it has been announced today that Pharrell Williams is the house’s new menswear creative director. Effective immediately, the multi-hyphenate will present his debut collection during Paris Fashion Week Men’s in June.
A cultural heavyweight whose influence spans music, fashion, beauty and art, alongside his musical accolades, Pharrell is the co-founder of streetwear labels Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream alongside longtime collaborator and Kenzo’s head honcho, Nigo. He’s also the brains behind popular beauty brand Humanrace, and has collaborated with everyone from Chanel and Adidas, to Tiffany & Co.
“His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter,” says Pietro Beccari, Louis Vuitton’s chairman and CEO.
A new chapter begins.
