Palm Court at the fabulous Waldorf Hotel was the location for Peter Pilotto AW17, setting the scene for a luxurious collection. As the ladies waltzed around us, we could imagine them being ladies of leisure gliding out to some sort of hobby like spelunking or horse whispering. Which was fitting because there was something very country mouse about the collection. She could be one with nature. A posh lady who doesn’t mind mucking out the stable if it needs to be done. Check her stitched boots, almost like a Wellington. Ready for any outdoor activities. Dare we say a bit hippy too? Fringe, tweed and hombre knits in navy, orange and ?. Before she knows it, it’s nighttime and she’s attending a soirée at her friends manor. Cue hot pink floor length dresses with little squiggly designs all over them. Almost like a pipe cleaner. Remember them? Day or night, town or country this girl can do it all. She wouldn’t even look out of place in a mosh-pit at Glastonbury. Rock on, sister.
