Agh, boiling heat! The kind of heat that a ginger with a freshly shaven head can’t really withstand. Oohhh, eeeee, hooray! Finally some shelter in the cooling confines of Hauser & Wirth over on Saville Row, where Paul Smith are presenting a fine array of new shoes set against the backdrop of Phyllida Barlow’s new retrospective 50 years of Drawings. The classic four eyelet Oxford shoe Is re-invented in 20 Crayola like shades- maybe Caran D’ache is you’re feeling posh, which neatly echo the tones of surrounding works. Giving the merch a good feel, those with a keen eye will also note the digitally printed leather sole which apparently offers some clue as to the forthcoming Paris Men’s show. Come on Paul, give us another!
