Your First Look At Palace’s Link-Up With Calvin Klein

It looks like the lads at Palace have been on their holibobs to the Big Apple. Forget bringing back a poxy keyring, though, the boys have instead brought back with them a collaboration with American fashion titan Calvin Klein.

No stranger to an all-star link-up, the British brand aligns its skatewear roots with Calvin Klein’s clean-cut aesthetic for CK1 Palace. The collection has all the goodness of a signature Calvin Klein outing: denim, undies and tees, amplified with a co-branded logo between the pair, appearing across the waistband of CK’s signature briefs, as well as a newly updated version of Palace’s Tri-ferg, seen across hoodies and basket ball jerseys. There’s also a collaborative pair of Vans – cleverly christened ‘Calvans’ – thrown into the mix, as well as the first-ever remix of the CK One unisex scent, now scented with Mandarin and Violet Leaf. Sniff up.

“I feel so lucky to launch our first ever fragrance with Calvin Klein,” says Palace founder Lev Tanju. “CK One disrupted the status quo and to be able to make a new version of it in a palace way has been a dream.”

A collab this major calls for a mega campaign to match, and Palace didn’t disappoint. Calling upon Alasdair McLellan – who has shot the Palace boys since they were fresh-faced twenty-somethings skating on Southbank – the campaign stretches from the Thames to Brooklyn Bridge, featuring The Pet Shop Boys, Dame Joan Collins, Lourdes Leon, Adwoa Aboah, Precious Lee, Unknown T and Willem Dafoe, who pops up as both a pizza chef and a cabbie in the campaign’s accompanying film. It doesn’t get much better than this.
