I can only hope that one day in the future I am eligible of the title ‘sophisticated lady’. And if fashion is supposed to be be aspirational, Copping’s latest campaign got it in one. The De La Renta woman has always been incredibly refined and the new images shot by David Sims definitely speak the same language, but with a more mature twang. Carolyn Murphy sports a ‘woke up like this’ kind of effortless beauty with tousled hair and minimal makeup. A woman like that doesn’t need to make eye contact; she has other things on her mind, besides with a dress like she knows we’re all staring. Oscar should know that the brand is in safe hands with Copping.
