Sparkle Up Your Christmas With Onitsuka Tiger’s New Holiday Glitter Pack

Since 1949, Onitsuka Tiger has defined a gold standard for athletic footwear design. Born in Japan during the period in which the country was rattled by the devastation of WWII, founder Kihachiro Onitsuka came to the conclusion that fostering youth culture was paramount to Japan’s revitalisation. Undergoing a painstaking development process, Onitsuka soon produced his inaugural footwear prototype: enter the Tiger Mark Basketball Shoes. Named after Asia’s most ferocious, forest roaming creature, an animal possessing the same innate power and seamless agility of the sport’s shoes, the moniker underscored the shoe’s razor-sharp traction, quick pivot capabilities and unmatched on-court stability. Tiger became the name of the brand too, until, in 1965, it evolved into Onitsuka Tiger and cemented its status as a familiar figure at sporting events, including the Olympics, around the world.

Fast forward to 2025 and Onitsuka Tiger is a beloved, fashion-forward powerhouse with deep sport DNA. You know its tiger stripe-inspired logo, you know its best-selling style (thanks to 2003’s Kill Bill) and its iconic, bright yellow colourways. Now, with its newest collection, Onitsuka Tiger gets the glitter-dusted touch. Reimagining three of the brand’s most popular footwear silhouettes – the Mexico 66, Mexico 66 TGRS and the Delecity – the limited-edition Holiday Glitter Pack is for everyday comfort and runway-level shine. Coming in black and gunmetal colourways, these kicks inject a metallic punch to your everyday look.

Constructed using deep, metallic black leather infused with elegant glitter, the brand achieves a shimmering finish with a smooth tactile sheen.  The shoes also come reinforced by clear adhesion between midsole and upper, making for high-impart, urban-ready durability to take you from the commute to the cocktail bar and back again.

Here, lensed by Ferry Van Der Nat and styled by 10’s very own Sophia Neophitou, model Ateta Jok sports the Holiday Glitter Pack collection in sculptural style, contorting her lean figure into elongated, angular silhouettes that echo the shoe’s sleek lines. On her feet, the sparkling collection flares under the spotlight, sending sharp glints across the studio floor.
