Olivier Theyskens Is Gearing Up To Debut A New Brand At Paris Couture Week

Olivier Theyskens is changing things up. Following stints designing for brands like Rochas, Nina Ricci and Theory, the Belgian designer is slated to unveil a new label on July 5, the eve of Paris Couture Week. Called Boloria, what’s especially interesting is that the upstart fashion house is backed by We Are One World, the Belgian parent of the Tomorrowland electronic music festivals.

In teasers which Boloria say “invite interpretation”, Theyskens has hinted at a tailored visual identity with a dash of deconstruction, all captured in black and white by Willy Vanderperre. According to Boloria’s mission statement, the line is meant to convey “distinctly Belgian values – sensitivity, integrity, emotional resonance – that have always inspired Theyskens’ work and approach to fashion,” and is described as “the initial step in an ongoing partnership in multifaceted creative endeavors.”

Couture fashion week is scheduled for July 6 to 9 in the French capital. Watch this space.
