Would it be so wrong to say that Alessandro Dell’Acqua was inspired by Chaka Khan this season for NO 21? Not in the sense that it was 80s, or even disco, but more in the sense of she was every woman. Something for everyone. A great message for the modern woman who isn’t just one thing, she is many. Not just a note, she is an entire symphony. So what kind of women walked along the black carpet underneath the stadium lighting? Sexy, sultry sirens dressed in chiffon dresses in red and lilac. Tweed tailoring for the woman wanting to serve a bit of executive realness. Button embellished sweaters for all the Pearly Queens out there. And perhaps my favourite, the fur (faux or not we still love) for the bougie bitches amongst us. It’s cute for you, her, your sister, mother, all of the girls out there and beyond. Who run the world? Girls.
