Let us guess. If you tried copping yourself a piece from the Palace X Rapha collab this morning, you’re probably fed up and sat empty-handed. The skatewear giant and cult cycling brand’s team up united bicycle fanatics with teenage hypebeasts under one common goal: to grab as much of this bonkers collab as possible.
If you did miss out, however, there are plenty more Rapha goodies eagerly waiting to make an entrance into your wardrobe. Launched this week, staple London retailer Browns Fashion has released an exclusive Rapha capsule collection – featuring three pieces in total, each stamped in Rapha’s logo and signature navy and pink colourways.
“Rapha are the best of the best, I can’t think of a better partner on a cycling exclusive, when we were looking for an iconic capsule that worked with the ethos of the Browns activewear offering and this is a perfect representation of that,” says Dean Cook, head of menswear at Browns. “This capsule really brings to life a celebration of timeless sportswear both on and off the bike.”
This cracking collaboration follows a wider pivot towards cycling gear in London’s menswear field, most noticeably Irish designer Robyn Lynch, who crafted a capsule collection during lockdown using deadstock and returned Rapha garments and surplus fabrics leftover from her previous collections. “For Browns we wanted to create something that bridged back to the glory years of the sport,” explains Rapha designer Jess Money, who alongside her team has crafted the ideal uniform for both pro cyclists and those who have found a new passion in the sport during lockdown. So what’re you waiting for? Get on your bike and down to Browns – this collection won’t be sat on the shelves for long.
